Cheekpoint is a quiet, picture-perfect village at the meeting of three rivers — the Suir, the Nore and the Barrow — looking out over the water with woods rising behind it. It's a peaceful spot, and the perfect setting for a relaxed game of croquet and good company.
A relaxed new club where the rivers meet
South East Community Croquet is bringing the game to Cheekpoint as one of three clubs along the Waterford coast. Croquet here is unhurried and sociable — a gentle afternoon on the lawn, plenty of chat, and a friendly bit of competition. It's a lovely way to get outdoors and get to know your neighbours.
Who it's for
Everyone is welcome, of any age or ability. Croquet is one of the few games where children, parents and grandparents play together as genuine equals — skill and tactics matter far more than strength. No experience and no equipment needed; we provide the mallets and balls and we'll show you how.
The club is now forming — be a founding member
We're gathering founding members in Cheekpoint right now. Register your interest and we'll be in touch as soon as the first taster sessions are scheduled. No commitment, no cost to register.
How to get started
Register your interest below, come to a free taster session in the village, borrow a mallet and learn the basics, then play your first game that day. To read up beforehand, see how to play croquet and our croquet rules for beginners.
We're also forming clubs in Dunmore East and Passage East if one of those suits you better.
